
- Juliana Fitts, Head of School
Originally from Brazil, Juliana moved to the United States to study English and further her Montessori training. She attended Harvard University Extension School where she studied English as a second language. Juliana has four years of certified teacher training in Brazil. The teacher training includes philosophy, psychology and sociology of education; children's education study and child development. Juliana graduated with a focus in Montessori, allowing her to teach in Montessori program schools within the Primary classrooms. Upon graduation in 1994, Juliana taught for 4 years in a public Montessori school in a rural area of Brazil where her skills were in high demand. Juliana is certified by the American Montessori Society and is a graduate from the Administrator Course for Leading Schools under the Direction of Dr. Betsy Coe, American Montessori Society Living Legacy.
- Correine Magee, School Coordinator
Originally from Canada, Correine has lived in the United States for almost 18 years and has been an administrator at Arbor Schools for the past 3 years. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications from the University of Calgary. Correine enjoys spending as much time as possible with her husband, her two busy teenage children and her lovely Labrador Annabelle! - Deanna Manelski, Admissions Director
Prior to joining Arbor Schools, Deanna worked in the banking industry for 18 years. Looking for a change, she joined Arbor in July of 2006. Believing in the Montessori education, Deanna's two children also attend Arbor Schools. She enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her husband, two children and their yellow lab, Sadie. - Linda Waskom, Elementary Program Head
Linda first became an Arbor parent in 1995 when her daughter Brittany started attending Pre-K. She enjoys reading, knitting, shopping, and spending time with Brittany who attends CWU. Linda has a Washington State teaching certificate for K-8, an AMS Montessori Certificate for 2 ½ to 6 year olds from Montessori Education Institute of the Pacific Northwest, a BA in Liberal Studies, and an AAS degree with a certificate in Medical Assisting. Linda has been involved in Arbor’s growth for the past 14 years.
- Ana Da Luz, Primary Program Head
Ana Da Luz joined Arbor in August 2008. She has been working with children since 2005, when
she worked as an assistant at a nation wide child care company. She then moved on to working
as a Program Coordinator for the same company. Ana received her Bachelor’s degree in
Advertisement in Brazil, where she is from, and has been living in the US with her husband and
two happy boys for 8 years.
